Speaker: Dr. Carmen Ferrer Amate

(European Union Reference Laboratory for Pesticides in Fruits and Vegetables, Spain)

Doctor in Analytical Chemistry (University of Almería, Spain)

Since February 2004 works as researcher in the research group “Pesticides Residues”, under direction of Prof. Amadeo Rodríguez Fernández-Alba. Since 2006 the laboratory is appointed as “EU Reference Laboratory for pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables” (EURL-FV)

Main research lines are related to development, validation and implementation of analytical methods based on mass spectrometry for the determination of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables (with advanced analytical techniques)

Since 2012, she is involved in the organization and evaluation of the EU Proficiency tests on fruits and vegetables (EUPT-FV) and in other activities related to the reference laboratory (organization of training courses and workshops, etc)
