Joint FAO, IAEA and Latin American and Caribbean Analytical Network (RALACA):

Workshop on Quality Assurance and Quality Control Measures in Food Testing Laboratories to be held on May 5th, 2019 at Rafain Palace Hotel & Convention Center, in Foz do Iguaçu - Brazil

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of key quality concepts for the analytical testing of contaminants in food, and to strengthen the analytical capability of Member States in the Latin America and Caribbean region. The event will be held in English and Spanish. The workshop program includes:

Food contaminants analysis and sample preparation alternatives

Quality assurance/quality control measures for the development of analytical methods

Gas chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry, high resolution and accurate mass instrumentation

Current international guidelines/regulations for consumer protection and international trade
